Amiwo’s Tart and Tasty  Cafe, is a small-scale, family-run business born from the heart of a little boy’s dream—to share the joy and warmth of his mom and aunt’s baking and his passion for really good lemonade with the Ottawa Valley and beyond. What started as a simple idea has grown into a place where community, comfort, and quality come together.

Named in honour of  Rex Amiwo—our beloved uncle, brother-in-law, and husband was the embodiment of kindness, compassion and resilience, who sadly lost his life to hate and indifference— our business stands as a tribute to his memory. His love for bringing people together lives on in every cup of locally roasted coffee. He was passionate about people and about coffee, as he was a professionally trained (in Italy) barista (something he was very proud of) every glass of fresh-expressed lemonade, and every homemade treat we serve.

We take pride in sourcing locally roasted beans from Snark Coffee Roasters loacted in the heart of the Ottawa Valley and using local ingredients whenever possible, from freshly grown fruits for our lemonade syrups, to seasonal produce in our baking. Every sip and bite reflects our commitment to quality, community, and family.
